The Opportunity:
Advico is searching for an eager and driven advisor who is looking for a long-term career in an evolving and growing independently owned and operated business. ADVICO specializes in providing insurance and financial planning strategies for business owners, professionals, and corporations. We have carved out a niche working with other professionals such as accountants and lawyers to build a comprehensive, sustainable plan for our clients. The role of Corporate Insurance Advisor will be to support and grow the business by building relationships with clients, business owners and professionals. We focus on educating and providing insurance strategies and solutions that can benefit their operations and long-term planning. As part of the team the advisor would be working hand in hand with the administrative team and clients within a high paced, evolving, and dynamic environment.
A Day in the Life:
· Work collaboratively with industry partners and accountants in preparation for client meetings
· Advise, strategize, and provide recommendations to clients on coverages that best suit their needs
· Prepare for client meetings, document preparation, and follow up in a timely manner or as required
· Complete and process insurance and banking documents
· Build networks with centres of influence and prospect for new clients
· Maintain client relationship management system and internal processes
· Manage client correspondence, consistent follow up, and timely responses to any incoming requests
· Professionally represent ADVICO to clients, business partners, and the community
· Adhere to the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, ethical conduct, and industry compliance
· Some travel will be required
· Other duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications:
· LLQP life licensed
· Strong understanding and applications of life insurance, tax and/or accounting
· Meet all provincial-licensing requirements including continuing education
· Two (2) year sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail
· Dynamic interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills
· The ability to work independently, maintain discretion and respect confidentiality
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365- Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Familiarity with Salesforce client relationship management (CRM) would be of asset
